Yesterday I read an article on “The mind unleashed” website, with the title“Evidence That the Human Body is a Projection of Consciousness” Basically the article is similar to how I perceive our reality, whereby our soul consciousness blue print determines, what we as a soul experience.
http://themindunleashed.org/2014/04/proof-human-body-projection-consciousness.html
After reading the article, I read the comments and one comment stood out for me.
“This is bullshit. You should think twice about projecting blame onto people who are struggling to stay well. Do you really believe that little kids who get cancer are sick because of their consciousness, or their “karma”? Kids who have cancer. Sick people do not need guilt placed on them for not having “divine grace” or having “bad karma”.
From a human perspective, who could not agree with her, cancer is a terrible disease, how could anyone want cancer and above all how can a young innocent child get cancer, it is just too terrible to think about.
I am not an expert on cancer and hope I will never have to experience it myself, as it must be a very challenging experience for a person who has it., and because I have never had cancer, I can never say what it is like to have cancer, therefore I cannot give a true opinion on what or why someone has cancer.
I can only share what I witnessed and experienced from looking after my father who had and died in terrible plain because of cancer. My father and I did not get on, for reasons I will not go into too much detail. My father was a very angry man, self-righteous and sometimes very outspoken and nasty to other people, he just loved to argue and make his point that he was always right. However, under all that pain, he had a good heart.
He had skin cancer on his ear that was caused by the sun and had to have his ear removed. At a later stage, the cancer evolved into basil cancer and moved into his head and infected his brain. Basil cancer is a very slow cancer and the person who has it can suffer terribly for a very long time, they can live with it up to 5 years or so. As the cancer evolved and moved into his brain, it caused Bell palsy and many other different painful symptoms.
Over the last 2 years of his life, my wife and I spent day after day with him, taking him to the hospital and making sure he had everything he needed, it was a full time job.
I was truly grateful to the lady we employed to help look after him over is last years, as without her I would have never managed.
Due to spending a lot of time with him, I saw how cancer can give a person an opportunity to see life and themselves in a different perspective.
Because my father’s cancer was over a long period of time it gave him the opportunity to resolve his anger, self-righteousness, bitterness and guilt that he had carried with him for years upon years, and who knows, maybe a lifetime upon lifetime. And it did not only give him an opportunity to change his perspective in life, it also gave me the same opportunity.
I witness first hand how cancer over a period of time can transform a very angry and bitter person, into a loving, humble and soft person. It was like the cancer destroyed the negative ego and smashed it to smithereens, thus revealing the hidden loving person that lay beneath.
After his death, I began to wonder if maybe his soul had carried this anger and bitterness frequency in his soul blueprint for lifetime after lifetime, until it became so strong that it manifested as cancer. Thus giving his soul and opportunity to transform back to its original peaceful state. And not only for him, what about me, was the cancer that I was witnessing in him a mirror of my own bitterness and anger that I had deep inside me and throughout my father’s cancer, was I also given the opportunity to resolve my pain.
In this case, I think so, as after years of this experience with my father, both him and I transformed in one way or another. The day he died, I kissed him on the forehead and told him that I loved him and I felt such peace, as I really meant it.
Years before his death that would have never been possible, as I have carried so much anger for my father and despised him in so many ways.
Another example of how cancer can transform and inspire people, is the story of Stephen Sutton. See his story here http://news.sky.com/story/1261399/stephen-suttons-legacy-charity-cash-pours-in a brave boy that did not allow cancer to stop him living a full life and lived his life to the fullest, whilst at the same time inspiring many other people to do the same.
Yes, I have to agree from a human perspective, cancer is a terrible thing, a disease that we would not wish on our greatest enemy, but maybe from a soul’s and higher consciousness perspective, it sees the experience in a different way.
Just like I am not an expert on cancer, I am not an expert on why another soul is experiencing a certain experience, as there are infinite experiences in Oneness and infinite different ways to experience that experiences. Only the soul and its higher consciousness will know that.
Maybe some children and adults manifest cancer, due to their soul’s lifetime after lifetime of pain and the cancer gives their soul an opportunity to transform itself into a higher state of being, as I thought my father’s soul did. Or maybe children and adults manifest cancer to give others an opportunity to transform their pain, in the same way Stephen Sutton did by inspiring many people. And keep in mind Stephen’s soul will also be transformed from one state to another through the experience, in the same way my father and I experienced. Maybe a soul manifest cancer for many other different reasons.
As I said, I am not an expert on why another soul will have a certain experience and will never be able to know why from this level of human awareness. As from this human awareness, I could never conceive the concepts of why a soul experiences certain experiences, as when I can, I will no longer be able to experience a human experience at this level of awareness.
At this level of human awareness, we as humans are not supposed to totally understand why we are manifesting experiences, as by not totally understanding why, gives us an enriched and real experience of being everything we are not. And as just said, as soon as we fully understand why, we will no longer as souls be able to experience the human experience at this level of awareness.
Lets be serious, the full purpose of us as souls experiencing the human experience, lifetime after lifetime, is to not know who we really are and then rediscover the truth of who we really are. Do it to quick and you will take all the fun out of the experience.

HI Paul,
Thank you for your inspiring newsletters.
Interesting read on cancer. Uplifting to hear about the transformation for you and your father and your relationship before he passed on.
I am a cancer survivor and feel moved to add my positive take on my experience. At the age of 37, I was first diagnosed in 1998 and given a less than 5% chance of survival beyond 5 years. Primary tumour was on my tongue and spread to lymph nodes in neck. I have had a numerous recurrences, but 16 years on I am fitter, healthier and happier than I could ever have imagined.
Since diagnosis I LIVE EVERY MOMENT to the FULLEST and try to fill my days and the days of those around me with much LAUGHTER and JOY. Since diagnosis
I have got involved in alternative medicine and now have my own practice…..something I would probably not have done otherwise.
I have also run numerous marathons, ultra marathons, 2-Oceans and Comrades included, and I participated in Ironman this year! What I am trying to say is that CANCER is one of the greatest blessings I have received in my life.
It has taught me so much about myself and the beauty and kindness of others. If I had the opportunity to rewrite my life script, having cancer would be one of the first things I’d put right in there.
Take care,
Debbi Nevay Hudson
