The children of our world are truly differently from when I was a child. They seem to pick up things much quicker and be much smarter. Sometimes when I look at them and watch their behavior they seem to be adults trapped in a small body. They have a mind of their own and a will to do what they want to do and not what they have been told to do. They say beautiful things about life that we have long forgotten as adults.
My granddaughter Gabby said to my wife Amanda after planting seeds in the garden.
“Look Ouma the flowers love me, they are smiling at me”
If only we as adults could see the magic that they see in the world, the world would be a happier and more content place. However, due to the fact that we as adults live in fear of what someone else thinks about us, we are terrified to say such a statement.
We as adults have become so entrapped in our conditioning and fearful behaviors, whereby we strive to be successful and collect as much material objects as we possibly can, have forgotten what life truly is all about.
We as adults have lost our ability to just be and play as children, as for if we do, it is seen as unacceptable in society. The day that we can just let all our fear go and become a child again, will be the day that our world will become a happy, peaceful and abundant world.
The truth is that within us, we all have the burning desire to be children again, whereby we can let go all the fear and just be us. To do this all we have to do is let down the walls and let go of all the masks that we have collected through our life experiences and once again trust ourselves and the world that we participate in.
We as adults, have the responsibility to allow the children to be what they want to be and not condition them with fear by saying no, no, no, no, no or stop that, all the time.
Sure, there must be boundaries set for the children and we as adults must find the balance of the boundaries. To do that we have to find our own inner child and mix that with our adult self, whereby we can once again love ourselves for who we are and not what society wants us to be. Once we as adults accomplish this we can pass it on to our children, thus giving them the chance to transform our world into a more peaceful and happier place when they become adults.
It is time for us to become more like them as we teach them to become more like us and when we do this we will find the balance point and transform this world into a world that we all would prefer.
